Hello Church Builder

A Spiritual Reflection
Isaiah 11:1
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

Jesus, in John 15, says, "I am the vine; you are the branches."  With this scripture passage from Isaiah, we are reminded of this. Turning our lives completely over to Jesus, sometimes goes against our nature to survive at all costs. Trusting in Him is the best way to survive if we think in spiritual terms. Many have already discovered that having stuff, is not going to bring about happiness in our lives. It is when we give, that we will receive...and what we will receive is the Love of Christ. Nothing else should be more important than this. So let us look forward with great joy, the celebration of the birth of our Savior in that small town of Bethlehem. Born in a manger, the King of Kings came into our world to show us strength in being humble, charity while being poor, and true love without conditions.  Let us cling to the baby Jesus this Christmas and watch our lives, through the grace and blessings of Almighty God, produce an abundant harvest for Our King. We have much to be joyous about this Christmas. Christ our King is born. Alleluia!

TOUCO orphanage in Tanzania received $1500. Here is a nice email we received from Father Mgaya, founder and manager of this orphanage and chapel:

Dear Marty and Church Builders,

On behalf of all the orphans and matrons I want to thank you for the donation you have sent us through TOUCO. It is so encouraged to feel so powerfully supported by you dedicated friends. Indeed, we have some challenges but not insurmountable. It is amazing what committed people can achieve to make a change and transformation to the little ones of God!

As you have already dedicated your donation, it will go along way to improve our choir and the Pre-K class.

I am lucky today I am in Njombe and so I can respond quickly to your email. My regards to all your Church Builder Members.

May the Lord bless you all.

Church Building Project in Aba, Nigeria received $7000. The money will go towards putting a new metal roof on the steel structure they struggled to raise money for. They are building this new church right over the top of their existing Church. This was the chosen project for this years fundraiser.

Last year, proceeds went to a boarding school project in Uganda. Next year we are planning to put in a new well in for a village in Uganda. Currently this village is dependent on the rain water run off at the bottom of a hill. We are so looking forward to getting this well installed for this entire village located in western Uganda. A clean water supply is going to reduce sickness greatly in this village and improve quality of life.
